Final Update 9/15/2021  With no new Covid-19 relief programs planned, this is the final update to the State Auditor's tracking of federal Covid-19 relief programs. Additional information about Covid-19 expenditures is available from the Vermont Legislative Joint Fiscal Office.

Hospitals

Divisions within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services oversee two separate programs to provide financial relief to health care institutions impacted by COVID-19. The Health Resources and Services Administration oversees the Provide Relief Fund and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services oversees the Medicare Accelerated and Advance Payments Program.

As shown in the chart below, 14 Vermont hospitals each received over $7 million in total from the two programs.
